PSP40104 Certificate IV in Government

This generalist qualification covers the competencies required for working without supervision in the public sector and is particularly suited to those working in an environment requiring multi-skilled personnel and/or in small or regionally based organisations. Electives should reflect the responsibilities of the individual and the job skills required for effective performance.

Prerequisites: 

There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.

Qualification Rules: 

To be awarded this qualification, the student must successfully complete 15 units of competency, 7 Core units, and 8 Elective units.

Accreditation and Articulation: 

Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a PSP40104 Certificate IV in Government.

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

Pathways from the Qualification: 

After achieving the PSP40104 Certificate IV in Government, students may undertake the PSP50104 Diploma of Government, or a range of other Diploma qualifications.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): 

A formal process for recognising skills and knowledge, RPL takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as life and work experiences. You may be granted credits or exemptions for some units in this course.
