This qualification is designed to provide the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in designing, developing and utilising basic multimedia briefs either as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team.   This course will provide participants with a broad range of skills required for entry into the multimedia industry and covers a range of areas including design, multimedia software (e.g., Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop) project management, 2D animation, and digital imaging.

The 8 core units contain those basic ICT skills and knowledge required for effective entry into all ICA05 qualifications from Certificate III upwards.  The qualification introduces OH&S and soft skills such as communication into the 8 core units.
